Yates School of Motoring: Not all driving schools are the same!

Why are Standards so Important

Road traffic is constantly increasing therefore learner drivers need to be assured of top quality tuition to help pass the driving test and to provide a sound foundation for safe driving for life.

What we Offer

Yates School of Motoring operates a strict code of professional conduct and Ian is a member of the Motor Schools Association and the Driving Instructors Scotland Council.  Ian is amongst the best trained instructors in the UK.  He is licensed by the DVSA to give driving tuition. The result is you learn faster for less money and will actually look forward to each lesson.

Driving Programme

Each driving lesson is carefully planned and follows a set programme with clearly defined objectives where the instructor will use professional training materials and modern training methods to ensure your lesson is both effective and enjoyable. Your lessons will be paced to suit your needs.

Test Centres

We operate mainly in the Lanark test centre but can under special circumstances use the Airdrie test centre.

Lesson Times

Lessons will last 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2 hours depending on what you have booked. The lesson will start with a short time in the car setting objectives for the lesson and will end with a period of around 4 to 5 minutes reviewing what has happened during the lesson.

Additional Training

After passing your driving test, Yates School of Motoring will be pleased to provide any follow up training you require including Motorway tuition or refresher training if you have not driven in some time.
