You MUST have passed your Theory Test before applying for your practical driving test. The theory test has 2 parts - 50 multiple choice questions and a hazard perception test. Click on the following links for more information.
The decision to book your test will be made as joint decision when both instructor and pupil consider the driving ability to be of an acceptable standard.

If there are any changes to your test date you must notify the school immediately.
If you do not keep up regular lessons after booking your test it will be assumed that your test is no longer going ahead.
On the day of your test you should bring:
You will be given a lesson before your test in final preparation.
When you arrive at the test centre we will wait for the examiner to start the test. The examiner will check your licence and ask if you wish the instructor to be present during the test.
Before entering the car the examiner will ask you to read a number plate from 20.5m in good daylight. You must be able to read a number plate from this distance before you can complete the test.
You will then be asked 2 show me/tell me vehicle safety questions before you drive.
